Meghna Alam, Miss Bangladesh 2020 at Miss Earth, is a pioneering figure in the beauty pageant industry. She is the first Bangladeshi pageant queen to own one of the top four international pageant franchises and also the owner of the highest number of international pageant franchises in the country. Concurrently serving as the country director for ten international beauty pageants, she holds a prominent role in fostering global representation in the beauty pageant sector. Her exemplary contributions have been recognized with the prestigious ‘Noble Citizen Award’, a testament to her profound impact within the development sector. Endowed with certifications as a political leadership trainer from esteemed institutions such as the Escola National Florestan Fernadez (Brasil) and the International Institute for Research & Educational (Philippines), Meghna's expertise extends beyond the realm of beauty pageants into the domain of leadership development and advocacy. Meghna's dedication to social activism traces back to her early years, commencing at the age of 12 when she began interpreting at national and international conferences addressing pivotal topics such as gender dynamics, political landscapes, food security, and climate change. As the visionary founder of the Miss Bangladesh Foundation, formerly known as Ekottro Foundation, she has spearheaded initiatives aimed at galvanizing youthful ingenuity for the advancement of societal welfare. As the Goodwill Ambassador for the International Human Rights Commission, she will address the 7th World Summit on Human Rights as a keynote speaker in Geneva, Switzerland, in December 2024. Meghna's ethos underscores the intrinsic link between nature and femininity, recognizing their shared journey amidst challenges of man-made exploitation of motherly care, and using beauty pageants as an influential platform to promote women's rights and environmental preservation simultaneously.
